Another first for Old Orchard School that is sure to become an annual tradition — the All School Spring Picnic was a huge success! We loved seeing families from every grade come together, watching the kids play, laugh, and enjoy popsicles on a beautiful sunny day at the park. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon so special. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Middle School students wrapped up last week with their annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser! Sponsored by family and friends, students hit the track in support of the Humane Society Silicon Valley—and made it count. In just 90 minutes, 44 students logged an impressive 810 laps raising $7,127! Top lap honors go to Tate W. (GR7) with 37 laps, followed closely by Isaac W. (GR7) with 35—an incredible effort all around! Teachers included!

We had a very special visit at OOS this week!
Dad, firefighter, and OOS parent Julian Bordona stopped by with his crew from the Santa Clara Fire Department, and it was an unforgettable experience. The kids were absolutely in awe—exploring the equipment, learning about the tools, and getting an up-close look at the ladder truck!
What an incredible way to end the school day. Thank you to Julian and the entire team for inspiring our students and sharing what you do to keep our community safe!

What an amazing day at our first annual Old Orchard School Community Art Show! 🎨
We were blown away by the incredible collection of artwork from our talented students, alumni, staff, parents, and grandparents—such a beautiful reflection of our creative community across generations.
With live music in the air and popsicles in hand, it was the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon together. Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and helped make this event such a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

We had a little extra fun in the classroom today celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
There were plenty of smiles, a few harmless shenanigans, and lots of laughter along the way. Learning was still happening—just with a festive twist! 💚
