Today we’re celebrating Unusual Instrument Day with one of our favorites… the marimba! 🤎🥁

Yes, it’s a percussion instrument—and it’s every bit as expressive and melodic as a piano. Come hear it, play it, and discover why so many students fall in love with its incredible sound! 🎶✨

✨ One of the things we love most about Opus11 is that there is no such thing as a “typical” student. 💙

Every week, our studios are filled with 🎹 preschoolers discovering music for the first time, 🎼 school-aged children building confidence, 🌟 teens pursuing their passions, 🎤 adults finally learning the instrument they’ve always dreamed of playing, and ❤️ neurodivergent learners thriving in an environment designed to help them succeed.

🎶 Music truly belongs to everyone.

Reviews like this remind us why we do what we do:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“The experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Opus11 has great teachers and is very accommodating for adult learners as well.”

— Hwanseo

Whether you’re 5 or 75, a complete beginner or an experienced musician, neurotypical or neurodivergent, our goal is the same: to provide exceptional instruction in a welcoming, encouraging community where every student can grow at their own pace. 🌱

Thank you, Hwanseo, for your kind words. They mean so much to our entire team. 💙

We had a wonderful time representing Opus11 School of Music at the Parents Helping Parents Resource Fair this weekend! 🎵💙

It was a privilege to connect with so many families, educators, therapists, and organizations that are working every day to support neurodivergent individuals and their families. Events like this are a powerful reminder that creating truly inclusive communities takes collaboration. 🤝✨

One of our favorite moments was reconnecting with the dad of a former Opus11 student! Those unexpected full-circle moments remind us that the impact of music education extends far beyond the lesson room. ❤️

We were also delighted to reconnect with our friends at Friendship Circle, one of our valued community partners! We’re grateful to be part of a network of organizations that believe every child deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and belong. 🌟

Thank you to Parents Helping Parents for bringing together such an inspiring community! We left the event with new connections, new ideas, and an even stronger commitment to making music education accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for every learner. 💙

We look forward to continuing these conversations and building even more partnerships that help families thrive! 🎶

Friends, I’d love your advice!

This Saturday, Opus11 will have a booth at the Parents Helping Parents (PHP) Resource Fair at Santa Clara University. We’re excited to connect with families and share more about our adaptive music lessons, inclusive group classes, and specialized programs for neurodivergent learners.

We want our booth to be a place where people feel welcomed, curious, and comfortable stopping by.

So we’d love to hear your thoughts:

• What makes you stop at a booth?
• Have you ever received a giveaway that you actually loved and kept?
• Have you seen an interactive activity that made you want to stay and learn more?

And if you’re a parent of a neurodivergent child, we’d especially love to hear from you. What would make you feel comfortable walking up and starting a conversation?

Thank you so much! This community always has such thoughtful ideas, and we truly appreciate your input! ❤️

🎶 So proud of our Opus 11 students.

Every recital tells a bigger story than the song itself.

It shows practice.
Focus.
Courage.
Growth.
And that beautiful moment when a child realizes:
“I did it.”

Congratulations to our performers. We loved watching you shine. 💙

This is more than music.
