At our Newton’s Toy Exhibition, learners didn’t follow instructions, they created their own toys.
Through building, they experienced physics in action including gravity, motion, and cause and effect, and naturally developed engineering skills by testing, adjusting, and improving their designs.

Tej Acton Academy : Find Your Calling, Change the World
An innovative, independent K-8 learner-driven school in Campbell, CA.
We cultivate self-driven, responsible learners with the courage to embrace challenges, discover their innate potential, and pursue their calling that will change the world.
Even in the warm weather, our learners leaned into curiosity and creativity. At the creek, they worked together to build a small dam using wood and stones. One of their favorite discoveries? The water held by the dam was noticeably warmer than the flowing creek. A simple build turned into a real-world science exploration.
From bridges to motion ⚙️🌉
In our Physics Quest, learners explored the genius of the Da Vinci bridge, engineered their own marble runs, and uncovered the power of simple machines.
Each build, test, and redesign brought ideas to life through hands, not just words.
At our studio, we take hands-on learning seriously.

Spring is in the air and so is the arrival of our baby chicks. The 21 day countdown begins as we examine the growth happening inside the eggs each day through our model 21 day lifecycle eggs! Our learners are practicing patience and diligent care as we await the special day!

Nature is where curiosity begins. A question about a leaf, a rock, a trail, or a tiny insect can open the door to learning. Curiosity is the first step. From curiosity come skills, and from skills comes the ability to create. Friday we’re back to Nature!
Balloon cars racing with momentum.
Newton’s cradles transferring energy.
Boats and rafts testing buoyancy.
Build it. Test it. Improve it.
This is how our learners discover the laws of the universe.
What happens when a passionate parent steps into the studio?
A hands-on Micro:bit coding and robotics session full of curiosity, problem-solving, and excitement. 💻🤖
Our learners didn’t just follow instructions—they explored, tested ideas, and created their own projects.
Grateful for a community where parents contribute their expertise and make learning come alive.
Today marked Day 1 of Newton’s Toy Workshop session and the studio was buzzing with energy. Ideas are forming.
Hands are building.
Curiosity is everywhere.

What happens when play meets physics?
In Newton’s Toy Workshop, inspired by Isaac Newton, learners become engineers: building rubber-band cars, roller systems, and mechanical toys to explore force, motion, and energy.
They won’t just study the laws of motion. They’ll test them. Improve them. Build again.
⚙️ Build. Test. Improve. Repeat.
Today we explored the Stanford Educational Farm, Red Barn Equestrian Center, and Stanford’s main campus.
Learners experienced working farm systems, saw horses up close, and walked through a world-class university environment. Learning comes alive when learners can see, touch, and experience it firsthand.
