American Heritage Academy (AHA) is a non-profit 501-C-3 public charter school that was founded in 1995 by a group of “home-school” parents. It received its charter from the State of Arizona to educate students in traditional basics, with emphasis on the great role models of the past. Concerned about the lack of statesmen, conservation of America’s freedoms and classically trained leaders, AHA was

formed to “build tomorrow’s heroes today.” Students come to have a knowledge of and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, particularly our founding fathers.

FEBRUARY is IMPROVE AHA ATTENDANCE month. Historically February and been a poor attendance month for AHA so we are going to try to change that. We have offered weekly goals and incentives for grade levels with good attendance. Please help us achieve this goal. Thank you
PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES are coming up next week – Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 19/20. If you have not set up a conference, please email your students’ teacher or call the school. 928-567-0462.
Middle School Math: Mr. Boler has left AHA to pursue his long-time dream of being a firefighter. He will be greatly missed around here, especially by me. Thankfully, Mr. Drew has stepped up to take middle school math classes. This really will only impact 1st grade during 1st grade PE and lunch. There will be a small amount of time that they will be with Mrs. Roberts and Ms. Shelby for writing instruction.
