When I was six, I was standing in line at school when a boy suddenly punched me in the stomach on purpose. It knocked the wind out of me, and I could barely speak.
When my teacher saw my tears, I whispered, “He punched me.”
Her response was, “And what did you do?”
No one had seen what happened. I had no way to prove I was telling the truth.
I remember feeling completely alone—even surrounded by other children. I had done nothing except be the one standing next to him.
Then, while we were getting ready to go home, I heard a voice clearly in my mind.
“God knows.”
It was my spirit guide, Many Feathers.
In that moment, I was reminded that even when no one else sees or understands the truth of what happened, I am never truly alone.
Sometimes standing in your truth simply means knowing within yourself what is true—and trusting that it is known, even when no one else can see it.
