As a Black woman-owned beauty academy, this day holds special meaning for us. We are proud to create opportunities through education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship while helping shape the next generation of beauty professionals.

Annie’s Beauty Academy will be closed today and will reopen on Tuesday, June 23.

We’re excited to introduce Ms. Shawn Rae Feimster, our newest instructor at Annie’s Beauty Academy! 💇‍♀️💛

Ms. Shawn Rae brings decades of experience as a Master Cosmetologist, salon owner, and educator. Since becoming a licensed instructor in 2009, she has taught across multiple states, led advanced classes for licensed professionals, and helped shape the next generation of cosmetologists and educators.

Her passion for the beauty industry and dedication to teaching make her an incredible addition to our team, and we can’t wait for our students to learn from her knowledge and experience. ✨

Our nail technician students are getting hands-on with one of the most important tools in the industry (the nail drill) by practicing on eggs!

Why eggs? The shell closely mimics the delicate nature of the natural nail. It teaches students control, precision, and proper pressure without causing damage. These skills are essential for safe, high-quality services in the future. 💅
