The secret is officially out! 🚌💨 If you saw our counselor warmup post this morning, this is what all that stretching was for, we spent Day 3 at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham! 🧬✨

Our campers had an absolute blast exploring the endless wonders of interactive science. From hands-on engineering exhibits to immersive physics challenges, it was the perfect day for our young innovators to experience science and technology in action. 🎒🔬🧪

Congratulations to Southern Prep Alumnus Ashton Williams on his Commitment to Midway University! 🏈🎓

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone for one of our standout alumni. Ashton Williams, a proud member of the Southern Prep Class of 2025, has officially signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Midway University.

Since graduating from Southern Prep two years ago, Ashton has demonstrated immense dedication, balancing work while pursuing his studies at Liberty University. His hard work has paved the way for this next exciting chapter, where he will be transferring to take the field as an ATH/DB for the Midway University football team.
In the classroom, he will be continuing his education in Exercise Science, with the ultimate career goal of becoming a strength coach and quarterbacks coach. 🏋️‍♂️📋

Standing at 6'1" and 170 lbs, Ashton brings exceptional talent, versatility, and ambition to the Eagles' roster. Midway is truly fortunate to have him, and we have no doubt he will excel both on the field and in his future coaching career.

Day 2 of Summers at Southern STEM Camp was all about building and chemistry! ☀️🧪

Our campers started the morning flexing their engineering skills with CrunchLabs kits designed by Mark Rober, learning how different mechanical pieces work together. 🚀🔧

Later, we brought chemistry to life by mixing up columns of steaming "Elephant Toothpaste." It was a great, hands-on way for the kids to see an exothermic reaction happen right before their eyes! 🔬🐘✨

What a fantastic start to the summer! ☀️🎒

Day 1 of Summers at Southern STEM Camp was packed with teamwork, critical thinking, and a whole lot of fun.
We kicked off the morning working our brain (and face!) muscles with a hilarious cookie challenge 🍪😂, and then spent the afternoon diving into hands-on engineering by reverse engineering Vex Robots to create brand-new inventions! 🤖🔧

A huge, special thank you to The Funky Goat for helping us out and providing a delicious lunch to keep our campers fueled and ready to learn! 🥪🐐❤️
