Hello. Here are a few PTA updates for this week:

Our next PTA meeting is this Wednesday, March 20, at 5 p.m. in the WGIS Library. All are welcome.

Thank you to all who have reached out to help create baskets for the Teacher's Luncheon in May and/or help with the Sixth-Grade Celebration in June (June 24, 8-11:00 a.m.; June 25th is the rain date). If you would like to donate a basket or help with the event, email [email protected].

The PTA is collecting books for the WGIS Book Swap until Friday, March 29th. We need at least 200 more books to reach our goal of collecting 2,000 books for the children to take home for free. If you can donate, please leave the books in the front hall of WGIS.

If you are feeling in the giving mood, check out the Amazon Wish List for teachers and surprise them with a gift. In the fall, the PTA asked teachers to select items to support their teaching that the budget doesn't cover. The idea is to offer parents a chance to show their appreciation throughout the year by making the list available on our PTA site. All gifts are directly sent to the school; you can send them anonymously or include a note of thanks.

That's all for now. Thank you for supporting the WGIS PTA and our school community.

Hi Parents!

Here are three things to keep in mind this week:

1) There is a Super Bowl Food Drive and all students are encouraged to donate microwaveable macaroni and cheese cups and snack pudding cups to benefit the West Genesee Power Pack Program.

2) Books are still being collected for the Book Swap; students can leave donations on the cart in the main hallway of WGIS.

3) The WGIS PTA meeting is this Wednesday, February 7, at 6:00 p.m. in the library. All are welcome to attend.

Thanks.

We have collected almost 400 books so far! Pack a bag tonight and have your child drop the bag off on or near the cart in the front hallway of WGIS.

Once we get to 2,000 books, we will have a book swap where kids bring home books for free!

If you don't have books to donate but want to support the book swap, buy a book from the Amazon Wish List, and the books will be delivered to WGIS:

Hello, Cherrydale families!

Thank you for selling Cherrydale products! Because of you, our PTA has $6,364.40 to spend on important school events, initiatives, and programs for all WGIS students.

Cherrydale products will arrive via a refrigerated truck to WGIS on December 5th, and families can pick up their orders between 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the main lobby of WGIS.

All orders will be sorted by family to expedite the distribution process. As a reminder, many items need refrigeration so it's important all items are picked up that night.

Thank you again for participating in this school fundraiser! We appreciate your support of WGIS.
