Last night, the Everson Museum of Art was filled with incredible creativity for the annual CiTi BOCES Gala for the Arts! We were thrilled to see West Genesee well represented alongside talented young artists and musicians from across the entire region. ✨

Mr. Longhi’s orchestra students provided a beautiful musical backdrop for the evening, while student artwork from Ms. Long’s and Mrs. Sturgess’s classes was selected to be proudly showcased.

Thank you to our dedicated educators, and congratulations to all the students region-wide who made the night so unforgettable! 🖼️🎵💙💛

Rumor has it the audience is still tapping their toes...

7th & 8th grade orchestra and chorus students from CMS treated us to two nights of unforgettable music this week! They tackled selections from “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Greatest Showman”, and more, closing out the school year on the highest possible note.

Standing ovation to Mrs. Schuessler, Mr. Schuessler, and Mrs. Fitzpatrick for preparing our students for such a spectacular finale to the school year! 💙💛🎶

What an unforgettable night! 🩰✨ Huge congratulations to the WGHS Dance students on a truly stunning Spring Concert last week! From breathtaking ensembles to powerful small groups and solos, their talent and dedication were on full display.

The energy was unmatched as all the students took the stage for a spectacular finale, celebrating a massive milestone—40 years of dance at West Genesee! 💙💛

We also loved celebrating our dancers’ achievements with the annual dance awards at the end of the evening. Bravo to Ms. Skidmore and every single one of her amazing students!

What an incredible evening celebrating the creativity and talent of our WGHS art students! 🎨✨

The night began with a special awards ceremony honoring our senior art students, followed by the induction of new members into the National Art Honor Society led by our current NAHS officers. We then welcomed families and guests into the WGHS Art Show in the library, where stunning artwork from students in grades 9–12 filled the space with creativity, passion, and imagination.

Bravo to all of our student artists for sharing their talents and making this such a memorable night! A special thank you to our outstanding art teachers for the dedication, encouragement, and inspiration they provide to our students each and every day! 💙💛

Congratulations to our student artists from CMS and WGHS on their artwork being displayed at the Salt City Select Art Show at the Everson Museum of Art! The art show was put on in collaboration with OCM BOCES Arts in Education to celebrate K-12 students across the region. 💙💛🎨

Students featured - Eddie Coles, Victoria Batiru, Dhyan Nair, Andrew LaRocca, Nico Reed, and Avery Sanford.

Last Friday, the CMS Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Mrs. Schuessler, visited with the WGIS 5th & 6th grade orchestra students. The chamber orchestra performed for the students and answered all their questions about orchestra and middle school!

Thank you to the WGIS orchestra teachers, Mrs. Cheney and Mrs. Mercer, for helping to make this amazing opportunity possible for the orchestra students! 🎶💙💛🎻
