We are in the midst of scholarship season! Spring Break is a great time to complete scholarship applications. FREE money for college can only help ease your college tution. All local scholarships that are still open are listed in SchooLinks, there are still up to 58 scholarships available to apply. If you need support, come to the Career Center or email Mrs. Portorsnok.

The National College Fair is coming to Syracuse on March 16th and 17th at the OnCenter. WGHS is taking a field trip on March 17th. Any junior who wants to attend can get a permission slip in the Career Center. Permission slips are due back March 9, 2026. Students must also attend a REQUIRED registration session in the Career Center the week of March 9 either during lunch or IT.

If you would like to attend as a family, there is an evening session of the College Fair on March 16, 2026 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the OnCenter.

The WGHS Career Center is VERY excited to welcome the Rosamond Gifford Zoo on February 24, 2026! In addition to careers working with animals, the zoo offers so much more.
