Mitchell County Primary School leaders, support staff, and the districtβs Curriculum Director recently attended the UFLI Pop-Up Academy at the University of Florida Literacy Institute, where they expanded their knowledge of leading and supporting high-quality UFLI implementation at the school level.
During this valuable learning experience, the team received guidance directly from the UFLI team and had the opportunity to learn from UFLI co-authors Dr. Holly Lane and Dr. Valentina Contesse. Their expertise and insights provided practical tools and inspiration for strengthening literacy instruction and supporting student success.
As Mitchell County continues its commitment to evidence-based literacy practices, this collaborative learning experience will help ensure strong implementation, consistent support for teachers, and positive outcomes for students. Exciting work is ahead as the district continues its UFLI journey and commitment to building strong readers! πβ¨
