Our first Coaches Collaborative for the 26-27 school year was all about connection, reflection, and strengthening our coaching practices!

Coaches worked through real-world scenarios in a Four Corners activity, exploring Heavy Coaching, Light Coaching, Mini Cycles, and Full Coaching Cycles and thinking intentionally about the right coaching approach for different situations.

We also explored Jim Knight’s Partnership Principles and how they help us build meaningful, trusting partnerships with teachers. Much of our professional learning this year will be grounded in Jim Knight’s work on instructional coaching, using his new IC Toolkit to strengthen and guide our coaching practices.

What a great start to the year as we continue to build a shared vision for instructional coaching across Mitchell County School System! 🦅✨

School Business Basics: Supporting Our Schools

The Mitchell County School System Business Office recently hosted a School Business Basics session focused on substitute and leave management with school staff. As the district continues its transition to the YOSS platform, these training opportunities help ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
