Calling all Mitchell County High School families! 🦅 Come experience a day in the life of an MCHS student at our Curriculum & Literacy Night!

📅 Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
⏰ Time: 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Location: MCHS Gym & Classrooms

Don't just drop in—we have different events happening throughout the entire evening:

3:45 PM – 4:45 PM | Curriculum Fair (Gym): Visit interactive department tables and take part in hands-on activities that show how our students Read, Write, Talk, Think, and Listen in every content area. Explore all of our departments, including ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Nursing/Healthcare, Business, Culinary, Agriculture, Band/Fine Arts, Mechatronics, PE/Health, Spanish, and Computer Science!

4:50 PM – 5:50 PM | Breakout Sessions OR Parent-Teacher Conferences (Classrooms): Choose to attend short, practical sessions like "What Is My Child's Lexile?", "Is My Child on Track to Graduate?", "College Isn't the Only Path", or "Infinite Campus for Parents & Attendance Matters". Alternatively, you can use this time to meet with teachers not facilitating breakouts to ask questions and discuss your child's progress. Student leaders may also be available to assist!

5:50 PM – 6:00 PM | Wrap-Up (Gym): Join us back in the gym for family resources, refreshments, and any final questions before departure.
Parents, guardians, grandparents, and students are all welcome! Grab resources, get answers, and leave empowered.

🎓MCHS GRAD RATE SOARS ABOVE THE STATE AVERAGE! 🎓

Mitchell County High School is celebrating an incredible milestone! Our 2026 graduation rate reached 97.62%, up from 87% in 2025, which is a 10% increase! Even more exciting, MCHS outperformed Georgia’s state average of 88.5%! ❤️💙

This achievement reflects the hard work and determination of our students, along with the unwavering commitment of our teachers, staff, families, and district and school leaders.

We are proud of the progress, proud of our graduates, and proud to be EAGLES! 🦅

A massive shoutout to our talented Audio-Video students for putting together this incredible video to kick off the festivities. As we celebrate this year's theme—BLUEPRINT: One Legacy. One Eagle Nation. "Then. Now. Forever."—we want to see everyone showing out for our Spirit Week dress-up days!

Here is your official review of the week's master plan:
Monday, Sept 28 - Spirit Day: Sport your Eagle fit from head to toe in Red & Royal all over! Tuesday, Sept 29 - Rockstar Day: Amp up the volume on our legacy and break the mold by dressing like your favorite rock icon.
Wednesday, Sept 30 - Character Day: Bring the blueprint to life by stepping out as your favorite movie, TV, or book character.
Thursday, Oct 1 - Twin/Squad Day: Match the master plan by grabbing a friend or your whole crew and dressing alike! Don't forget to join us later for the Homecoming Parade in Downtown Camilla at 6:00 PM.
Friday, Oct 2 - Wild West/Rodeo Day: Rope in our legacy by wearing your best Western gear. Cap off the week at the big game as the Eagles face off against Atkinson Co, with kickoff at 7:30 PM!
