We finished with our annual Highland Games. This year we added tents for each house, several new games, and an official HG award! The ASCA community had a blast! A shout out to Mrs. Couture for ALL of the hard work!

In the early 3rd century AD, a faithful young Christian girl named Lucy (or Lucia in some languages) made a vow to consecrate her life to God. When she refused to marry a wealthy pagan her faith was made public and she ultimately died at the hands of pagan persecutors.

St. Lucy's faith and piety are commemorated by Christians across the world on 13 December each year. The most well known of these celebrations are in Sweden. Each year, Swedish children dress up as St. Lucy to sing songs, bake sweets, and remember those saints like St. Lucy who faced bitter deaths for the Gospel, trusting in the sweetness of their eternal reward.
