It can be so difficult as parents, to have to leave your little ones on a regular basis to be cared for by another. I made the decision when my own two daughters were born, nearly 27 years ago, to get licensed as an in-home childcare provider, and to this day it has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. Not only because I got to stay home with my own children, but also because
I have been blessed to help in raising yours. While I spent the last 15 years working as a teacher in a well known Preschool in Folsom, I recently decided to go back to "in-home" care with the arrival of my first two grandchildren. And there "Mimi Rain's Playtime and Preschool" was born. I am a certified Preschool teacher with over 20 years experience in educating young minds based on their own individual age and needs. During the first 5 years of life, infants, toddlers and preschoolers develop in a multitude of areas including language, thinking, and reasoning skills, as well as social, emotional and physical development. A well organized in-home childcare environment can provide a strong foundation, including, but not limited to an increased vocabulary with adults and peers, critical thinking, problem solving through classifying, measuring and sorting, prewriting and writing skills, creativity through art and self motivated play. The blend of ages of these young learners can also provide a sense of community, caring, and cooperation. The natural benefit, a consistent, loving, caregiver can provide is self confidence, as well as a healthy understanding of boundaries that produces a safe and happy environment. I am so grateful that God has blessed me with being able to help you grow your precious babies in these areas. As for myself, and the other "Playtime and Preschool" children, we look forward to you joining our little family.
