Check out this cool opportunity from Camdenton Bands tonight in the CHS RC Worthan Auditorium!

This year we are putting together a fundraiser Showcase Night for our Jazz Band, Percussion Ensembles, and Winter Guard. The event takes place Friday, April 24th at Camdenton High School. It is $10 for entry per individual. With that $10 you gain access to all three performances. Feel free to come for all three or whatever performance really interests you. The different performance times are below.

Winter Guard - 6pm
Percussion Ensembles - 7pm
Jazz Band - 8pm

We will also be raffling off the opportunity to pie Mr. Z in the face at the end of the evening!

All proceeds generated goes directly to The Pride of The Lake Band Boosters to support all programs within Camdenton Bands. I hope you consider showing your support and attending our event!

Spring Updates: pt. 3!

This week (yes- mere days after closing our musical), we dusted off our scripts for readers theatre and competed at the MSHSAA State competition, earning 5th place in prelims. Our students gave such a FANTASTIC performance, and saw some incredible performances from other schools as well!

We are back home now, and while we'd like to say the dust is settling, that would be a stretch... This weekend our Intro to Directing & Advanced Theatre students will be performing at the Camdenton High School Art Department & National Art Honor Society Project Graduation Midsummer Night's Dream Spring Tea, and next weekend we will host our End-of-Year Showcase and have our awards ceremony and International Thespian Society inductions.

We suppose we'll sleep when it's summer, right?
Thank you for joining us in this incredible season. It's been a great one, and we are so grateful for all of the folks who have worked with us and attended our productions and events!

Spring Recap, pt. 2!
Last weekend we performed James and the Giant Peach-Theatre for Young Audiences. We shared our show with elementary students on Friday and with our community throughout the weekend- it was such a success! We'd like to send out a GIANT thank-you to all of our supporters for showing up for our students! We had a blast and we hope you did, too!! Photos by Grace Law (and there are a lot more- reach out to Mrs. Myers to see the rest!)

This semester has been a whirlwind for Laker Theatre Co! Today we're going to do some recaps- there's too much for one post!

In March, we hosted MSHSAA Districts for Theatre. We had so many amazing helpers from our students and parent boosters that day- it went so smoothly! We earned 2nd place in Readers Theatre for our student-directed performance of Fantastic Mr. Fox, earning us a spot in the state competition. This piece was directed by LTC senior, Lily-Rose Eckard! Our cast received an "Outstanding All-District Ensemble" award, and three of our actors received "Outstanding All-District Cast" distinctions for their characters (Andrew Raeth, Mason Stockstill, and Gabe Skiba)! Some pictures of our home performances and districts are attached here. Photo credit: Angelo Fuentes

More to come... Stay tuned!
