Camdenton Middle School

Ground Zero for middle school students has concluded for the summer. Middle school football has camp at Bob Shore Stadium starting tomorrow from 8-10am. This camp runs through Thursday. Middle school volleyball is competing at Mt. Vernon this week, and cross-country has two scheduled runs to round out summer workouts. STAY HYDRATED!

Girls basketball concluded in June and boys basketball has completed their successful summer practices and competitions. Middle school softball got some work in with the big girls and showed consistent improvement. We loved seeing the large turnout of athletes at various athletic events throughout the summer. Thank you, parents for making that a priority!

Dead week is next week, August 2nd-9th. Practices will start for middle school athletics August 17. We will get specific times announced as they become available. 

As a reminder, every kid competing has to have a current physical on file. Physicals are good for two years. If you are unsure if your physical is expired or not, please reach to [email protected]. When offices open August 3, we can get that information. If you need a physical, August 10 COMC is hosting a FREE physical night.  stay on the lookout for specifics about that event.

Online Registration is now open for all returning students. Returning families should complete registration to update contact information and finish the required annual forms for the upcoming school year.

Lake Regional will be offering free sports physicals on Wednesday, June 10th, from 3:45-5:45 PM at Camdenton High School.

Students entering grades 7-12 who are planning to play a sport in the 26-27 school year must have a current physical on file to begin fall practices. Per MSHSAA guidelines, physicals are valid for two years. Students must have a parent or guardian present.

Ground Zero speed and strength kicks off tomorrow for our middle school athletes! We have a lot of things happening this week, please make sure you join the SportsYou account for the most up to date information. These accounts will share specific times, locations, and requirements.

***Weights times are adjust because of the large amount of athletes we have showing up. What a great problem to have! Please see the adjusted times on the flyer. 8th grade will now come from 7-8:30am. 8th grade girls basketball players have open gym during that time, they are welcome to attend Ground Zero from 8:30-10AM.***

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10TH Lake Regional will be offering FREE sports physicals at Camdenton High School from 3:30-5:45pm. Sports physicals are required to participate in athletics by MSHSAA and are good for 2 years. All student-athletes need a guardian present.

Melody Hull and Landon Alba were part of our CMS Sewing Club and were so close to completing their quilts by the end of the year! We are so proud of all their hard work, dedication, and creativity. Their quilts turned out absolutely beautiful! Great job,l!🧵🪡

Summer is near! Our CMS athletic teams have a busy summer ahead. Please see the opportunities for our incoming 7th and 8th grade students that start in a few weeks. Most coaches have met with middle school athletes to give them information, but just in case please see the pictures. Ground Zero Speed and Strength is a common session for all 7th and 8th grade athletes even if it’s not listed on the information sheet. 

We are excited to start building our foundation this summer and can't wait to get to work in the fall.
