Summer is near! Our CMS athletic teams have a busy summer ahead. Please see the opportunities for our incoming 7th and 8th grade students that start in a few weeks. Most coaches have met with middle school athletes to give them information, but just in case please see the pictures. Ground Zero Speed and Strength is a common session for all 7th and 8th grade athletes even if it’s not listed on the information sheet.
We are excited to start building our foundation this summer and can't wait to get to work in the fall.
If you have questions, please reach out to CMS Activities Director, Mrs. Austin Walker at [email protected].
Go Lakers!

🎉 CELEBRATION POST! 🎉
Mrs. Meyer is bursting with pride for these incredible eighth graders! 🍎✨
This group has put in some serious sweat equity this year, and the numbers speak for themselves. Check out these stats:
• 1,734 Hours of focused work 🕒
• 124,942 Questions answered 📝
• 4,212 Skills mastered and proficient 🏆
Every student pictured here has achieved at least a full year’s growth in 8th Grade Math! 📈 They’ve consistently crushed their IXL diagnostics all year long, showing up and leveling up every single day.
To celebrate all that hard work, we had a blast at our Classroom Auction yesterday! 🔨💰 It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable year.
Mrs. Meyer is so incredibly proud of you! You’ve officially conquered middle school math and are more than ready to take on high school. Keep dreaming big and working hard! 🎓✨

⚡️ Setting the Standard: Jase Nugent! ⚡️
If you’re looking for passion and participation, look no further than Jase! Coach Rear highlights Jase as the "gold standard" for enthusiasm in the gym. Not only does Jase bring the heat, but he makes sure no one is left on the sidelines.
Way to make PE the best part of the day, Jase!

🌟 The Heart of a Champion: Teddy Thompson 🌟
Coach Shepherd reminds us that the best leaders don't just lead the pack—they bring others along with them. Teddy’s compassion and commitment to making sure everyone feels seen and included is what makes our PE department a better place.
Teddy, thank you for being a "true teammate" and a role model for us all!

Character Counts: Blake Kendrick is our Champion of the Week! 🌟
Coach Selby says it best—Blake is a "true role model" who leads with kindness, politeness, and an incredible work ethic. Whether it’s a tough workout or a simple task, Blake gives 100% without a single complaint.
We are so proud to have students like Blake representing our school!

🏆 Champion of the Week: Beau Zeller! 🏆
It’s not every day you find an athlete who can crush a fitness test and a comedy routine in the same period. Coach Pemberton is proud to recognize Beau for his drive to improve and the infectious joy he brings to the gym.
Help us congratulate Beau in the comments! 👏👏
