LCTC Graphics Students Create Logo for the City of Osage Beach Parks and Recreation's upcoming BBQ Contest

Osage Beach, Missouri - The City of Osage Beach has partnered with Lake Career and Technical Center's (LCTC) graphics design program to create a new logo to promote its upcoming BBQ contest. The collaboration has resulted in a vibrant and eye-catching logo that perfectly captures the spirit of the event.

LCTC students were tasked with designing a logo that would help promote the contest, which is set to take place this summer. The students spent several weeks creating multiple designs, each one showcasing their creativity and skill. After careful consideration, the City’s BBQ planning committee selected the winning design, which will be featured on all promotional materials for the event.

Mitchell Moon, the Economic Development Specialist, and Eric Gregory, the Parks and Recreation Manager, both representing the city of Osage Beach, collaborated with the LCTC students in person to provide them with guidance on what they desired to see in the design. The winning design features bold typography and bright colors and incorporates elements of BBQ and Lake of the Ozarks, successfully meeting the design's objectives.

"The students have created something very amazing and professional," said Mitchell Moon. "Their designs were truly impressive, and we are excited to showcase the winning logo on all of our promotional materials for the BBQ contest. We believe that the logo will help us attract even more participants and visitors to the event."

"We are incredibly proud of our students and thier hard work," said LCTC Graphics Design Instructor, Mr. Poe. "This project allowed our students to showcase their creativity and talent in a real-world setting. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with the City of Osage Beach Parks and to have our students' work featured on such a large scale.

Mr. Poe also stated. “We initiated the process of having all students create a logo for the project, and the City then narrowed down the selection to one logo, which was designed by Addy Sealander. Following that, all students collaborated to work on the chosen design, with Emily Eveland adding the final touches to the design. Although the City ultimately selected the work of these two students, it should be noted that all students worked exceptionally hard, and learned a lot and the decision to choose just one logo was not an easy one”.

Ok, so I have always tried to teach my kids to be outside of the box thinkers. So why not use the kayak ramp as a launch. Chase Elliott thought about it for a second and then we went for it. After that it was on.

Had another great Breakfast Club reunion. The Breakfast Club is comprised of LCTC Graphics graduates from past years. We call our selves the “Breakfast Club” because we don’t believe in clicks, just like the movie. I love that these kiddos get together every year and have some fun. It’s always great seeing these kids and keeping in touch.
