At last night's Board of Education meeting, the Camdenton R-III School District officially approved our District Branding Guidelines. This work began in the spring with input from our students, staff, families, alumni, and community. One word stood out above the rest: Tradition.
Together, we defined what it means to be a Laker. Purple represents leadership. Gold represents the standard. After working through several logo, wordmark, and lettermark concepts, our stakeholders overwhelmingly chose the traditional Block C, reinforcing the identity that has united generations of Lakers.
As you begin to see our refreshed branding, please remember that this transition will happen over time. Existing items will be updated during their normal replacement cycle. Some changes, like the scheduled replacement of the CHS and CMS gym floors and new campus signage associated with grade-level reconfiguration, will happen this summer, while many others will be phased in over the coming years.
