The best seat in the house is the Laker Legacy Booth, and tonight it belongs to LTC Brendan McKiernan and First Sergeant David Dowell!

Since launching Camdenton’s JROTC program in 2019, these two leaders have helped our cadets reach incredible heights, including a National Championship and numerous national qualifications and wins.

Their greatest legacy goes beyond trophies. Through their leadership and mentorship, they are helping our students become better citizens and stronger leaders.

This week, we had our first Loving Our Lakers day of the 2026-2027 school year!

Countless bright smiles, warm hugs, and a few joyful tears proved how deeply our community cares for one another. Honoring the dedicated individuals who make our district so special is part of what makes us who we are.

The Camdenton R-III School District would like to recognize Brooklyn Weingart as the Smith & Gustafson Law Firm Student of the Week. Brooklyn is a sophomore at Camdenton High School.

The CHS Athletics and Activities Director, Dr. Durnin, says, "BK is currently a dual-sport athlete participating in cross country and tennis. She brings positive energy daily and is kind to everyone. We love how she represents herself and our school with her consistently great attitude. Beyond academic dedication, BK brings an irreplaceable heart to our school community. She naturally lifts the spirits of everyone. She is a great representative of our Athletic and Activities Department. "

Daily Wage: $115.74–$133.12 (depending on route length)
Activity Trip Pay: $25.55 per hour for athletics and school events

Student and staff safety is a top priority of the Camdenton R-III School District.

In alignment with the district’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) Goal Area 1: Climate and Safety, we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone on our campuses. To support this, all school grounds, including playgrounds, tracks, courts, fields, and other recreational areas, will be closed to the public during school hours, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.

This proactive measure helps us prioritize student safety and reduce potential risks during the school day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following this safety protocol.

The Camdenton R-III School District is hiring a District Central Registrar! As the very first face new families see when joining the Laker community, you’ll set the tone for their district experience while helping our administrative team thrive through accurate, efficient systems.

What We're Looking For:
-Positively and supportively guide new families through the enrollment process.
-Collaborate with administrators and staff to handle DESE core data entry and state reporting.
-Serve as a reliable, detail-oriented team player who models initiative, accountability, and kindness.

Starting Pay: $17.12-$19.12 / hour
Board-paid health insurance
