Join us for our Dogwood Family Movie Night!!

🦇 When: October 2nd
⏰ Time: Gates open at 5:30pm, movie starts at 6pm
📍 Location: Bob Shore Stadium
🍿 Movie: Hotel Transylvania

Feel free to bring a blanket to get cozy on the field! You can also make a cardboard/box car for students to have a “drive in” movie with you! Popcorn, water, and glow sticks will be available!

*Please remember that this is a family and school event. Come ready to sit and watch with your child, and be sure to follow normal school rules.

Grandparents Night at Dogwood! 💛💜

What an incredible night at Dogwood Elementary! We welcomed 630 grandparents, family members, and friends through our doors tonight!

Our hallways were filled with smiles, laughter, and so much love tonight. Thank you for making Grandparents Night at Dogwood so special!

💥 KABOOM! in Kindergarten! 💥

Learning letters is even more fun when you can turn it into a game! Ms. France’s kindergarteners were busy playing Alphabet KABOOM! with popsicle sticks while practicing identifying and naming their letters.

Hands-on learning, lots of excitement, and a little friendly competition make for a fun way to build those foundational literacy skills!

Way to go, Kindergarten!

On Friday, September 11, Mrs. Libby’s students took time to learn about the events of September 11, 2001, and the many heroes who stepped forward to help others that day.

We are proud of our students for learning, remembering, and showing gratitude for those who serve and protect others.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful. ❤️🤍💙

Ms. Moore’s students took some time to talk about how they want their classroom to look, feel, and function this year. They shared their ideas, talked about what is important to them, and then signed their classroom community agreement.

What a great way to begin the year by giving students a voice and helping them take ownership in creating a classroom where everyone feels safe, valued, respected, and ready to learn!

We’re not just building a classroom… we’re building a community!

And these ladies?! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 They are the secretaries of Dogwood Elementary, and they are absolute ROCKSTARS! They keep our front office running, take care of our students and families, solve problems, and somehow keep smiling through it all!

We are SO lucky to have them at DWE!
