Please join us during free period (11:20am-12:20pm) on Wednesday, February 21 for "Love, Pain & Activism: A Nina Simone Tribute."

In honor of the birthday of singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger and civil rights activist Nina Simone, Perry Thompson, CEO and founder of The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society will deliver a lecture about her life and accomplishments.

The event will be held in the front room on the main floor of Robeson Library during free period.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Lunar New Year lasts from Feb. 10 to 24, culminating in a lantern festival dedicated to paying tribute to deceased loved ones and repairing relationships.

💘Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching & Robeson Library has you covered with our Museum Pass program! Why not take your someone special to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens or the Academy of Natural Sciences? Scroll thru to see the other museums you can borrow free passes to!

The Rutgers University-Camden Library Museum Pass program is available to students, faculty, and staff of Rutgers University in Camden with library accounts in good standing and an RUID and CCC and Rowan in Camden affiliates.

You may borrow one pass at a time, and all passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must sign out the passes in person at the Robeson Library Access Services desk. Passes circulate for seven (7) days and cannot be renewed or reserved in advance. Passes must be returned at the circulation desk during library hours (not placed in the book return slot).

This exhibition, “Life in Plastic, it’s Fantastic,” explores American commodity culture, the investigation of collective cultural memory, and challenging learned assumptions. The work honors the tradition of painting as an enduring cultural practice, while caving into the curiosity of play. 🎨 Noel Cross invites you to be fascinated by the act of looking! 👀
