Meet Dennis J. Shields, Interim Chancellor of Rutgers University–Camden.

Joining the university on July 1, 2026, Chancellor Shields brings a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in higher education leadership. His experience across law school administration, student affairs, admissions, and system-level executive leadership has established him as a highly respected leader dedicated to fostering institutional excellence and student success.
