September 27: Join us for Maine Community Day at Maine Mineral and Gem Museum. Free with your valid Maine ID.

October 1: Homeschoolers of Maine is working with the Maine State Museum to offer an interactive ZOOM class about the formation of rocks and minerals

October 6: Hike Mt. Apatite with HOME Hike Host Nathanael.

Join HOME for our Back to Homeschool Field Day 2026 at beautiful Slovenski Camps on Panther Pond in Raymond.

Monday, September 14 | 11:00 AM–3:00 PM

Pack a lunch, bring the kids, and come ready to enjoy:

11:00 AM: Hike & woods games
12:00 PM: Lunch; Moms’ Support and Q&A
1:00 PM: Field games
2:00 PM: Swimming & hiking
Families will also have access to the beach, basketball court, hiking and biking trails, and plenty of space for outdoor play. Bring along your favorite balls, frisbees, outdoor games, mountain bikes—or even a kayak!

During lunch, HOME Regional Representative and veteran homeschool mom of 10, Michelle Collomy, will host an informal Moms’ Support & Q&A. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other homeschool moms.

Affordable Family Fun
$3 per student over age 2
Maximum $10 per family (must live in the same household)

We are here to answer serious questions, provide social and learning opportunities, connect you with regional leaders in your own corner of Maine, help you understand homeschool law, to read all the legislation and fight for homeschool rights, and most importantly, to pray for you as you embrace and succeed in this big crazy wonderful homeschool life!
