WE LOVE 4-H WEDNESDAY!

Today is all about celebrating what makes 4-H so special! 🍀

We love 4-H because it gives young people the opportunity to learn, lead, serve, compete, create, and grow! 🌟

We love seeing 4-H’ers step outside their comfort zones, discover new interests, make lifelong friendships, and gain skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.

From the show ring to the shooting range, from the classroom to the county fair, Benton County 4-H is helping build confident, capable leaders right here in our community! 🍀

Most of all, we love watching our 4-H’ers become the best versions of themselves.

Recent surveys reveal that only about 30 percent of farms have a formal succession plan in place. Additional statistics from a popular farm magazine estimate that 44 million acres, about 15% of America's farmland, is likely to change ownership by 2030. The Tennessee Farmland Legacy Program is designed to help farmers take the first steps in establishing a formal farm transition plan, to ensure that the family farm stays in the family for generations, and that successors are set-up for success. Pre-registration is required, and enrollment is limited to the first 30 participants.
