Several fifth grade students were inducted into the National Junior BETA club today. “The Junior Beta Club is a service organization that is offered to fifth grade students based on academics and character. The students who qualify will participate in service activities during the school year.”

Mrs. Jeffers’ students were up and moving today! The students enjoyed this nice day looking for organisms in sections of the playground. Students then returned to class to complete an unplugged reading challenge with hidden multiplication facts and then constructed compound sentences.

Mrs. Martin’s class used flashlights today to see how day and night happens in the sky! The students shined flashlights at their partners as the partner rotated. Tech-free days can be fun, hands-on, and full of learning! 📖📚📓

Mark your calendars! Grits with Grands will be held the week of September 14-18. Flyers will go home this week with students.

Please join your grandchild for grits from 7:00-7:30am. Our book fair will also be open for you to shop with your grandchild. If you have multiple students you may choose a day to eat with all of them. Grits for adults will be $5, no cost for students.
