📸 Lights, camera, storytelling!

This week at Summer Soar, our campers are stepping behind the camera for an Introduction to Photography & Visual Storytelling course with our very own Ms. Dora, CPS Photographer & Marketing Manager!

Students are learning the basics of photography composition, discovering how light can transform an image, and practicing how to tell a story through photos.

We can’t wait to see the creativity, perspective, and stories our students capture by the end of the week!

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the unexpected passing of Mr. Roberts, a beloved teacher, coach, mentor, and friend whose impact on our school community will never be forgotten.

Mr. Roberts faithfully served the St. Cecilia School community for more than 25 years. First as an exceptional coach and later as a dedicated teacher. His influence extended far beyond St. Cecilia. Through his coaching, mentorship, and servant's heart, he touched the lives of countless students and families across Catholic Partnership Schools. He inspired confidence, built character, and reminded every child of their God-given potential. His kindness, compassion, unwavering commitment, and genuine love for young people left a lasting impact that will be felt for generations.

This year, Mr. Roberts was honored as St. Cecilia School's 2026 Teacher of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of the dedication, excellence, and heart he brought to his classroom each and every day.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask our Catholic Partnership Schools family to keep his wife, children, family, friends, colleagues, former students, and all who loved him in your prayers. We will share information regarding funeral and memorial services when it becomes available and the family is ready for us to do so.

May God grant Mr. Roberts eternal rest, bring peace and strength to his family, and surround our entire school community with His love and comfort.

This week at Summer SOAR, our middle school students will work alongside the Xaverian High School Robotics Team to design, build, and program robots before putting their creations to the test through exciting robotics missions. This is a fun, hands-on opportunity to build problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork while exploring the world of STEAM.
