Aaliyah Calderon (Marketing, Class of 2027) attended the Forte' Emerging Leaders Conference on June 12, 2026 at Georgetown University (McDonough School of Business), sponsored by PNC Bank.
Aaliyah learned about the opportunity through the RSBC Undergraduate Newsletter and was eager to attend, as it was her first professional conference and one focused on developing emerging business leaders.
The experience exceeded her expectations, offering an empowering environment that celebrated women in business while highlighting the perspectives and experiences of fellow students, industry professionals, and employers. Through interactive sessions and meaningful conversations, Aaliyah gained confidence, engaged in valuable self-reflection, and refined her elevator pitch, leaving her better prepared for future professional opportunities.
In Aaliyah's words, "I am now more confident about attending events that aren't in my vicinity. Traveling for this conference and getting to know so many people has motivated me to continue working towards my goals and not being held back by what I previously thought were 'obstacles'."
