A huge CLC shout-out to Substation 2 of Camden for supporting our Fun Day Friday by providing delicious sub sandwiches for both our CLC students and our Head Start family! What makes this community partnership even more special is seeing the owner personally deliver the food and take the time to support our students. That personal touch means so much and reminds us just how fortunate we are to have community partners who truly care about our school and our kids.

This student consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of school life. He is excelling academically, successfully passing all of his classes, and demonstrating a genuine commitment to his education. His attitude, attendance, and academics are truly off the charts!
Beyond his academic success, he stands out for his exceptional manners, respect, and character. We want to give a BIG, fantastic shout-out to our KCSD District Maintenance Department for all of their hard work in helping us get our beautiful new stage curtains installed!
The curtains were fully installed today, and WOW—they look absolutely AMAZING on our stage in the gym!
We truly appreciate the time, effort, and care our maintenance team puts into helping make CLC a better place for our students and staff. Your work may happen behind the scenes, but the impact you make is seen throughout our school every day!

Today at CLC, we’re celebrating National Hawaiian Shirt Day with a little taste of the islands!
Our Hawaiian cultural celebration is filled with colorful Hawaiian shirts and dresses, beautiful flowers and leis, and, of course, some refreshing Hawaiian Punch!
More than just a fun day of bright colors and tropical flair, today is an opportunity to celebrate culture, embrace diversity, and learn from one another. We’re bringing a little bit of the Aloha Spirit to CLC—where kindness, connection, joy, and respect are always in style!

For the past three years, CLC has been honored to host the quarterly meetings for DJJ, providing a space for our partners to come together as they support the work of our county judicial system and serve our state and local communities.
Today, we were excited to welcome DJJ back to CLC for their first quarterly meeting of the year! We truly enjoy having DJJ as part of our CLC family and are grateful for the strong partnership and connection we have built over the years.
At CLC, we believe that when schools and community partners work together, we create stronger connections, stronger communities, and brighter futures for the students and families we serve.

Today after school, we held our first quarterly Special Education District-Level Team Meeting, and what an incredible afternoon of learning, collaboration, and professional growth!
Our Curriculum and Special Education Departments provided a wealth of valuable information, giving our administrators and special education teachers the opportunity to review important policies, procedures, and best practices.
And we have to celebrate a 100% score! 💯 Our administration and Special Education team absolutely knocked the policy and procedures quiz out of the park!
We are grateful for a district that invests in its educators, supports our students, and creates opportunities for continued growth. Thank you, KCSD, for making professional learning a priority! ❤️💙

CLC has had a very busy week, and today was no exception! We are so grateful for the incredible support of our Camden community and especially our local public library and bookmobile.
Our teachers and students came out in full force to browse, choose, and take home tons of great books. We appreciate you bringing the love of reading directly to our students and continuing to support CLC!
And because community connections are about more than books…one of our library team members even challenged one of our high school boys to a little lunchtime game of pool!
It was the perfect reminder that sometimes the best moments happen when our school and community come together—sharing books, laughter, friendly competition, and a little fun along the way.

Thank you to our Camden Public Library and bookmobile team for always showing up for our students and staff. We appreciate you!
