These ladies are truly the BEST OF THE BEST! Their hard work, dedication, and care for our students do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for all they do to keep our students nourished, happy, and ready to learn. Thank you for being such an incredible team! 💙👏

🎃🍂 A HUGE SHOUT-OUT AND THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS! 🍂🎃

A special thank-you to Lowe’s of Camden, Food Lion of Lugoff and Camden, and Home Depot at Sandhills for donating over 80 pumpkins for our 5th Annual Pumpkin Drop! Your generosity helps make this event possible!

🎃 Join us Friday, October 23, from 10 a.m. to noon!

Get ready for some BIG fun as we drop pumpkins from OVER 200 FEET IN THE AIR! 🚀🎃 We’ll have pumpkin drop competitions with the Camden Fire Department and the City of Camden, featuring Loudest Splat, Precious Cargo, and Fan Favorite!
Students can also enjoy rock painting, Basketball Boo, spooky writing and movies, co****le, Halloween bingo, pumpkin and ghost painting, and our 5th Annual Pumpkin Painting Competition!
🚒 We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Camden Police Department, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department, Camden Fire Department, City of Camden, our local vendors, and our amazing food trucks!
🧡 Come out, join the fun, wear your favorite costume—or show your spirit in orange—and help us celebrate the power of community!

Happy National Principals Month! ❤️🍎

Being a school leader is far more than a title. It is an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility that I never take for granted.

I am incredibly grateful for the students, families, staff, and community who make my journey so meaningful. To serve children and make a difference in their lives is truly a gift.

🦺 PRINCIPAL SPOTLIGHT: DR. KAREN OLDHAM

At the Continuous Learning Center, Director Dr. Karen Oldham and her team know that every student is still under construction.

🛠️ Tool for Success: Every student needs the confidence to try, to make mistakes, to ask questions and to keep going when something feels difficult. Confidence doesn’t mean believing you’re perfect—it means believing you’re capable of becoming the best version of yourself.

🧱 Building Block: A strong school community is built when everyone knows they matter. Belonging is the foundation that helps students feel safe enough to learn, brave enough to try and confident enough to grow.

📐 Blueprint Advice: Believe in your blueprint—but remember, YOU are the architect. Don’t be afraid to make adjustments. Don’t be afraid to start over. And never let one difficult chapter convince you that your story can’t have a beautiful ending.

🏗️ Currently Constructing: At CLC, we aren’t constructing just one thing—we’re constructing possibilities. We are building confidence, belonging, strong relationships, academic skills, character and hope—the belief that your past does not have to define your future.

We may be Under Construction, but the future we’re building is bright.

🎱🏆 LUNCHEON POOL CHAMPION! 🏆🎱

A HUGE congratulations to one of our middle school students who pulled off an impressive win at lunchtime pool today! 👏🎱
And let’s make this victory even more special… he beat our very own Director, Dr. Oldham! 😳😂
Now, everyone knows that beating Dr. Oldham at a game of pool is NO easy task! So when you pull off that win, you definitely deserve a shout-out! 🙌
He was absolutely THRILLED with his victory—and I loved seeing that confidence and excitement! These are the moments we love at CLC: students having fun, building confidence, and celebrating their accomplishments.

Today, CLC kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by turning our school PINK! From our shirts and smiles to our food, we showed that when we stand together, we can make a powerful statement. 🎀

We wear pink to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, support those still fighting, and spread hope for a future without breast cancer. 💗

At CLC, we don’t just wear the color—we wear it with purpose. 🎀💗

🎉 Kicking Off Principal’s Month! 🎉

October is Principal’s Month, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our very own Dr. Karen Oldham, Director of CLC! 💙

Dr. Oldham pours so much heart, energy, and dedication into CLC each and every day. She works tirelessly to support our students, encourage our staff, build relationships, and make sure every student knows they are valued, capable, and worth believing in. 🌟

To kick off her month, we surprised her with a little fun cash for the weekend, a special card, and some pool games and fun with several of our high school students! 🏊‍♀️🎲💵

And this is just the beginning! We’ll be celebrating Dr. Oldham all month long because one day simply isn’t enough to recognize all that she does for CLC and the students and staff she serves. ❤️

Sometimes the best celebrations are the ones filled with laughter, memories, and the students who make it all worthwhile!
