Happy Juneteenth from Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. - Rho Chapter🩶

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and celebrates Black freedom, resilience, and achievement. While June 19, 1865 marked a significant step toward justice, it also reminds us of the ongoing work needed to create a more equitable society. Juneteenth is a time to reflect on history, uplift Black voices, and recognize the lasting contributions of Black communities. As we celebrate, let us continue learning, advocating, and building a future rooted in equality and opportunity for all.🩶✊🏽

2 weeks ago, our current chapter sisters and Rho Chapter Alumnae came to watch and celebrate our graduated senior, Dynasty Birriel (SP23), walk across the stage to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing!🥹🎓🥳

Congratulations again, Dynasty, we cannot wait to see the beautiful and smart nurse you will become! And thank you to all the chapter sisters that popped out to support her!🩶

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate the history, achievements, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride began as a movement for equality and visibility, honoring those who fought, and continue to fight, for the right to live authentically and safely. It is also an opportunity to educate ourselves, uplift diverse voices, and advocate for inclusion in our communities.
