For Lauren Sills, one of the most valuable lessons from the High Potentials Leadership Program was learning to resist the rush toward an answer. Through the Harvard Business School case method, she discovered a tendency to prioritize resolution over reflection. Examining complex leadership dilemmas alongside a global cohort pushed her to sit with competing perspectives, ask better questions, and sharpen her judgment before acting.

The experience also reshaped how Lauren thinks about leading at scale, from developing the capacity of others to using storytelling to drive organizational change. One of her biggest takeaways was the power of balancing confidence with humility. “The program has a way of distinguishing between confidence and certainty and helping leaders recognize that the best decisions often live in the space between them.”

For Patrick Vizzone, the leadership impact project he developed during the Advanced Management Program helped turn a deeply personal question into a new direction for his leadership.

Exploring the connections between chronic disease, food insecurity, and fresh produce challenged Patrick to think differently about how he could make an impact. With perspectives from Harvard Business School faculty, his executive coach, and learning group, he refined his ideas, challenged his assumptions, and clarified a mission: healthy bodies, healthy planet, healthy minds.

The impact extended well beyond the program. Patrick stepped away from a two-decade career in banking to devote more of his work to industry stewardship, education, and innovation in sustainable food production. Today, as Chair of the International Fresh Produce Association, he is putting that thinking into action—working toward healthier eating, better access, and more sustainable food systems.

The rise of generative AI is redefining the skills that matter most in today's workplace.

Research from Suraj Srinivasan, faculty cochair of the Generative AI Strategy and Ex*****on program, suggests the answer is more nuanced than many headlines imply. While employer demand has declined for roles centered on structured, repetitive tasks, demand is growing for positions that combine analytical, creative, and technical capabilities with AI. Findings also point to a rising need for AI literacy and human skills such as collaboration and communication.
