This weekend, we gave back to the Earth by caring for Revere Beach, one of our shared natural treasures. 🌊🌎

Together with Surfrider MA, volunteers cleaned the shoreline, collected environmental data, and helped protect marine life and our local community from pollution. Afterward, we gathered in friendship and celebration, reminding ourselves that meaningful change begins with small actions taken together. â™»

What gets in the way of allowing people to truly connect? Philosophy shows us that despite our outer differences, we share within us the same inner core: our humanity. If that feels too abstract, just look at how children play. Gender, race, and all the other “otherness” disappears when we see new life untainted by the world. Make time today to see yourself in every person you meet. Listen, and you might be surprised.

This International Women’s Day, we created space for something many women rarely get:

A moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

Inspired by Brené Brown’s work, we explored how courage, vulnerability, and connection shape the way we live and lead. Together, we shared stories, practiced reflection, and reminded one another that strength isn’t about constantly proving our worth.

It’s about embracing our whole story — the successes and the falls.

Because authentic leadership begins with authenticity within ourselves.

Happy International Women’s Day to every woman learning to lead with courage and heart.

What do many of the world’s greatest thinkers, artists, and change-makers have in common?

They were avid writers.

From journaling and poetry to disciplined craft and quiet reflection, writing has long served as a powerful tool for self-knowledge and transformation. Inspired by the timeless philosophical principle “Know Thyself,” this interactive workshop explores how writing can deepen our understanding of who we are—and how that inner growth shapes the world around us.

During this guided session, on January 15th, you’ll engage with thought-provoking prompts designed to spark reflection and insight. We’ll also explore practical writing wisdom and techniques that help uncover your own inner voice, clarity, and hidden wisdom.

No writing experience is required—just curiosity and an open mind.

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

In the spirit of gratitude, we were recently reminded of the power of cheerful giving during our latest Food Canvassing activity.

Targetting neighborhoods in Cambridge and Somerville, New Acropolis Boston volunteers went door-to-door collecting nonperishable food items from local residents. We were truly moved by the enthuasism, generosity, and heartfelt support shared by our community.

All donated items were delivered to the Somerville Homeless Coalition and Project Soup to support local families and neighbors in need.

Thank you to everyone who contributed—whether by donating, stopping to listen to our message, or simply offering a warm seasonal greeting to our red-vested volunteers. Food insecurity remains a persistent challenge in Greater Boston and across the nation, but each act of kindness brings us one step closer to meaningful change

If we missed your home and you'd like to contribute, our donation drop-off bin is available. Please email us or call 617-902-0850 to schedule a drop-off time.
