caught on camera again by mid-falling in love with yet another beautiful, delicious, and multiplicitous dish set in front of us
lamb laffa bread, tahini, amba, shifka, schug
All the condiments were delicious. Prudence and I were head over heels for the shifka’s heat and acid, with the bright green in colour and flavour of the schug a close second. Lucas was all about the mango amba which was pretty darn perfect too. Perhaps the ideal was actually a carousel ride of dipping from one to the next to the next; giddiness ensues.
When in Brooklyn Heights, I have a few favourite stops. Al Badawi is such an oasis. The food is so tasty and their za’atar is the best I have ever had. Portions are generous and I always leave with a little za’atar with my leftovers.
We had the hummus and the chicken and za’atar flatbread.
