Ashley Purpura from Purdue University is the Visiting Associate Professor of Women’s Studies and Theology.
Elena Guzman from Indiana University Bloomington is the Visiting Assistant Professor of Women's Studies and African Religions.
Fareen Parvez from University of Massachusetts, Amherst is the Visiting Associate Professor of Women’s Studies and Islam.
Jessica Fowler from the University of Montana Western is the Visiting Associate Professor of Women’s Studies and Catholicism.
Samira K. Mehta from the University of Colorado Boulder is the Visiting Associate Professor of Women’s Studies and North American Religions Colorado Scholar.

The scholars of the Women’s Studies in Religion Program (WSRP) are creating their own paths of knowledge and Ann Braude, the director of the WSRP and Senior Lecturer on American Religious History at HDS, is leading the charge along with WSRP research associates.

Constance Buchanan Dies at 73; Gave Women Voice in Religion

Constance Buchanan, Former Director of HDS’s Women’s Studies in Religion Program, Passes Away
Constance Buchanan, a former director of the Women’s Studies in Religion Program at Harvard Divinity School who developed the program into a permanent part of the School and University, died September 16, 2020. She was 73.

First Black woman to earn applied math Ph.D. at Harvard passes away
Deborah Washington Brown, the first Black woman to earn an applied math Ph.D. from Harvard's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, passed away June 5.
