🧧 Lunar New Year Brunch
Thanks to everyone who joined us in the Hulsizer Room for our March Brunch! We celebrated the Lunar New Year in style with a festive spread of wontons, scallion oil noodles, and mochi.

It was the perfect way to bring some luck and delicious vibes to the Ashdown community. We hope you left full and festive!

πŸŽ‰ We hosted our Spring Festival on Saturday, July 19th, from 2–5 PM in the Ashdown Courtyard and Hulsizer Room (1121), welcoming all graduate students and their families!

Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with activities like painting, bubble blowing, a slide, and a bouncy castle.
🍩🌭 We also served up a delicious spread of festive treats, including pretzels, hot dogs, donuts, and ice cream.

[Dinner & Culture] πŸ‡¦πŸ‡΄ πŸ‡§πŸ‡· Jersia, Residential Scholar from Angola πŸ‡¦πŸ‡΄, and her guest Kamilla E. S. Silva, PhD, visiting student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brazil πŸ‡§πŸ‡·, led a fascinating presentation on the similarities and differences between Angola and Brazil. Although separated by the Atlantic Ocean, these two nations share a common colonial past, which has left them with deep cultural, linguistic, and historical ties. This talk will explore how this shared heritage has influenced their identities today.
