ARC

The group’s objective is twofold: education and training. For education, we will host a series of classes throughout the year with guest speakers from local algorithmic Hedge Fund founders, analysts, and support staff. For training we hope to run a series of simulations throughout the year where members will be able to code algorithms that are strong in various trading environments and have intra-club competitions. ARC will have two educational and practical courses. One on building backtests and developing algorithms (practical skills and logical reasoning not necessarily taught in college). ARC will also have a course on the lexicon of markets and derivatives that will give students the background to understand how to use algorithmic thinking in finance. ARC will also consist of developer’s meetings for people that graduated from ARC. This way senior members will continue to develop their skills and the curriculum.
