Our Executive Board consists of dedicated program members who handle competition, administration, and programming. For the 2022-2023 season:

☑️ Cara Chang is Association President

☑️ Cayla Coleburn, Kejsi Demaj, and Tejas Vadali are our Seminar Directors, heading our annual high school mock trial program. Registration is open for both our October and November weekends!

☑️ Anant Rajan is our inaugural Tournament Director, organizing the Boston Tea Party Invitational in November

☑️ Patris Haxhiaj is our Director of Tryouts, Training & Mentorship. If you’re interested in joining the team, don’t worry: you’ll be hearing a lot from him soon!

The Harvard Mock Trial Association is dedicated to furthering a passion for trial advocacy and the law at Harvard College. We are a student-run group which competes nationally in competitions organized by the American Mock Trial Association. These competitions consist of trying legal cases in front of real judges and attorneys, relying on members’ creativity, analytical reasoning, and rhetorical skills. In and out of the courtroom, we are a team and we are a family.

Membership in HMTA is open to all Harvard College undergraduates in good standing. More information on tryouts this fall will be available shortly.

Stella Asmerom, Travis Harper, Simone Hogan-Murphy, Osazi Al Khaliq, Ashton Alexander, and Nathaniel Liberman are the veterans of HMTA — that is, they’d competed in a courtroom before last season.

Between them, they have held every single board position except the one we just created. They’ve also racked up numerous awards, most notably a national championship this past year and a 3rd place finish at Trial by Combat (Travis).

Audrey, Braedon & Jessica are All-Americans after pushing Harvard A to a national championship and Daniel & Jacob led Harvard B through ORCS last season!

We’re kicking off with our newest members, the Mini Mockers c/o 2021!

Tejas Vadali ’25, Anant Rajan ’24, Patris Haxhiaj ’25, Ivana Ron ’25, Cayla Coleburn ’25, and Kejsi Demaj ’25 joined HMTA last fall — and they’ve made waves in the program just a year in ⭐️ 5 of our Mini Mockers pushed a competitive Harvard B to ORCS while Anant became an All-American with Harvard A! Plus, all 6 hold leadership positions going into their second year.

Fun fact: Bucking the HMTA trend of Social Studies, the MM c/o 2022 has a Classics concentrator (Tejas) and *gasp* a Pre-Med student (Anant)

It’s been a hot minute since we were in Midlands, but we wanted to thank the AMAZING field of teams we saw all year and for hosting!
