In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay c

According to Jewish law, one may not remove a baby bird from its nest in the presence of the mother bird. The commentaries explain that the mother bird feels a deep emotional bond with her children, and we are commanded to act with kindness and sensitivity toward her emotions. We know how hard it can be to say goodbye to your children each morning - even for a few hours! We are deeply grateful for the trust and faith you place in us every single day. As we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week, we can say with confidence that your children are loved and cared for at POTA.

How lucky and blessed we are — Morahs and parents — to be partners in the holiest work of caring for our children!

CP Discovery Preschool began our project by exploring the colors of summer and the work of watercolor artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Winslow Homer. Over the course of two weeks, the children engaged in an ongoing investigation of watercolor, experimenting with palettes, liquid paint, and watercolor pencils, as well as brushes and tools of varied textures. Through this process, they explored how dots, lines, and patterns could emerge and change. When the paintings were complete, the children selected and cut shapes from their own work, and with child input, the Morahs cut house shapes from these same paintings, preserving the children’s marks, color choices, and compositions.

The resulting homes reflect the vibrant, joyful community we are building together.

Today in our classroom, we met our newest little friends, teeny tiny caterpillars🐛 We are so excited to begin this special journey of watching them evolve each day. We used magnifying glasses to take a closer look as the caterpillars wiggled around and ate their food. It was a fun and gentle way to explore, and we can’t wait to see how they change in the days ahead.

🌸 at Cambridge POTA, math comes to life through play—little learners count petals and marbles as they design their flowers, building early numeracy skills through hands-on, Reggio-inspired exploration.
