In this much loved economic geography lesson students trace the process of making bread, from farm to table. So many steps!!! The final phase involves making bread dough, shaping and baking bread, and sharing bread with our community. Thanks for your AMAZING recipes and supplies. You make it easy to learn and contribute!

Dr. Maria Montessori understood that starting with big ideas encourages elementary children to appreciate the interconnectedness of all things. This is why we start every year with the Universe Story. This last month, our students explored the nature of the elements, particles of matter, and thermal energy transfer.
