Hometown Ambassadors are volunteers who make presentations at their high schools over Winter Break with the goal of making Harvard more accessible to students in their hometowns. In their presentations, Hometown Ambassadors provide high schoolers with a sense of what it's like to be an undergraduate at Harvard, and topics discussed can include Harvard’s diverse academic opportunities, the unique aspects of student life at Harvard, required application materials, and Harvard’s generous financial aid program. Hometown Ambassadors are provided with materials, support, and training to help them put together effective presentations.

All students accepted into the Hometown Ambassador program are required to attend a training session with Harvard Admissions Officers and members of the Undergraduate Admissions Council on Monday, December 8 from 4:00-5:00pm.

Please reply to this post, message the UAC, or email Veronica Behrens ([email protected]) with questions or concerns.

Hometown Ambassadors Thank you for your interest in becoming a Hometown Ambassador. As an Ambassador you will be asked to return to your high school during the winter break to talk to prospective students about your Harvard experience. Please fill out this application form by Friday, November 21st at 5pm. We will follow…
