As Friday evening settles in, we’re looking forward to another wonderful Sunday with our faith family at Ninth Street! ⛪️

This Sunday, we’ll gather for worship at 11:00 AM and share together in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Following worship, everyone is invited downstairs to the Fellowship Hall for a Fellowship Luncheon from 12:00–1:00 PM.

It’s going to be a full Sunday of worship, fellowship, and time together as a church family. Make plans to join us, bring someone with you, and come ready to worship. There’s always a place for you at Ninth Street. ❤️

🎶 Give Me Jesus

Tomorrow morning, our faith family will gather again at Ninth Street for worship.

Pastor Nancy continues our journey through Romans with “The Struggle Within,” based on Romans 7:15–26. Paul puts into words something we all know well: the struggle between the life we want to live and the things that continue to pull us away from it.

As we prepare for Sunday, we’re sharing one of the songs we’ll sing together tomorrow: “Give Me Jesus.”

Sunday doesn’t end when we walk out the doors. ⛪️

The prayers, the people, the Word, the music, the moments we share together. We carry them with us into Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and all the ordinary places the week takes us.

This Thursday morning, may we remember that the same God we worship together on Sunday is with us still.

Thanks be to God for Sundays, and for the life we share in between.

Looking Ahead to Sunday ✝️

“I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.”

This simple hymn of commitment has echoed through generations of Christian worship, with roots often traced to the Christian witness of northeast India. Its words ask us to consider what it truly means to leave the old life behind and follow Christ.

That same call is at the heart of our Scripture this Sunday.

Pastor Nancy Parsons will be preaching from Romans 6:1–11 with a message titled “Dying to Live.”

Paul reminds us that in Christ, we are called to die to sin and rise to something new: “So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 6:11

For generations, Community Nursery School has been an important part of our ministry to children and families throughout our community, and we’re excited for another school year to begin September 10. 💛

An important part of their ministry to local families is the Community Nursery School at Ninth Street United Methodist Church, providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9:00–11:30 AM
Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00–11:30 AM

📝 Registration is open for the 2026–2027 school year! Classes are filled on a first-come basis, so families interested in enrolling are encouraged to register.
