Join us on April 14 for the final Culture and Belonging Series event of Spring 2026 featuring Lesley alum Dr. Theresa Melito-Conners ’19.
Her session, Staging the Mind-Body Classroom: Caring for Yourself and Your Students, centers on accessible and realistic strategies that help educators sustain themselves while supporting inclusive, responsive learning environments.
Dr. Melito-Conners is a special education administrator, licensed school counselor, published thought leader, and founder of Dr. MC’s Self-Care Cabaret. Her work bridges education, wellness, and lived experience, offering practical tools educators can use right away.

Lesley alum Thomas Nickerson ’18, M.Ed. will guide educators through practical strategies for building classrooms where all students can engage and succeed.
In The Engaged Classroom: Strategies for Motivation and Engagement, participants will explore ways to support neurodiverse, multilingual, and multicultural learners through thoughtful classroom structures, movement, and regulation strategies.
This week-long seminar offers space for hands-on practice, collaborative planning, and reflection with fellow educators committed to creating inclusive learning environments.

Designed for elementary and secondary art and design educators, the session combines studio experimentation with teaching approaches you can bring directly to your students.

Lesley alum Joseph DeSouza ’18, BFA will lead an interactive seminar designed to help job seekers position themselves for the roles they truly want.
In Market Yourself: Positioning for the Job You Want, participants will work through strategies to strengthen resumes and portfolios, refine their online presence, and develop authentic networking approaches that connect them with the right opportunities.
Through hands-on exercises and peer feedback, you will leave with practical tools to present your experience with clarity and confidence.
