As we conclude Mental Health Awareness Month, this year’s theme, "More Good Days, Together," stands as proof that the heaviest burdens are never meant to be carried alone.

Click the link below to read the incredible story of how we broke the silence, defied the stigma, and spent the last five years creating more good days for our kids and staff at RVCV.

Meet Rachel Hezroni Tesha. At 28, she is a proud mother of three, a dreamer, and one of six incredible women who have just spent the past month beginning to shape their futures with us.

Rachel’s journey hasn't been a straight line. When financial constraints cut her education short at Form 4, it would have been easy to let go of her ambitions. Instead, she kept dreaming. As her family grows, so does her determination to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her husband, contributing to their household and building something uniquely her own.

Through our RVWG program, we are currently training six women from the community, continuing our work of expanding impact by empowering women with practical skills and confidence to support their livelihoods.

This International Nurses Day, we celebrate our incredible nurses who stand at the frontlines of care at our rural health clinic and partner schools, bringing healing, compassion, and hope to the community every single day.

We could never forget our house mothers, the women who pour out love, patience, wisdom, and strength into our children every single day.

From the first day a child joins the village until they grow into adulthood, our house mothers are there every step of the way. They do more than provide care; they instill values, teach behavior, nurture character, and create the kind of love and stability that turns the village into a true home. Their selfless dedication continues to shape confident, grounded young adults long after childhood.

Happy Mother’s Day to the house mothers at RVCV!

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate our cofounder and mother to 149 children, whose love has built a home, holds generations together, and never stops giving.

Since founding the organization in 2003 alongside our cofounder Peter Leon Mmassy, she has spent over two decades building more than a home, creating a place where children are held with dignity, surrounded by unwavering care, and given the foundation to dream boldly and grow with purpose.

This year’s Mother’s Day carries even deeper meaning, coming just days after she celebrated her 70th birthday, a milestone of a life fully lived in service, love, and motherhood in its truest form. Today, she is in New York leading our first fundraising efforts of the year, continuing the same mission she began more than 20 years ago.

And as she often says, “You can never stop being a mother.”

This Mother’s Day, we invite you to honor her life and legacy by supporting the fundraising she is leading right now, helping her continue caring for children in her care and many more who still need a home.

Give today and be part of the impact she is creating right now.

A lot of what we see in student performance starts with the teacher. Teachers who are present, prepared, and supported to teach well shape everything that happens in a classroom.

As part of our partnership with the government to improve the quality of education, we invest in teacher training and capacity building, equipping educators with the skills, methods, and confidence to deliver better learning every day. This is reflected in our partner school, in stronger classroom practice, more consistent learning, and performance that now places them among the top 5 government schools in the district.
