Poster: From Brain Signals to STEM Pathways: Mixed-Methods Findings from the NeuroVivid Project
Thursday, September 3rd at 3:45 PM – 5:15 PM PDT

Ibrahim will share findings from NeuroVivid, a co-designed brain-computer interface (BCI) maker experience that invites neurodivergent middle-school learners to explore brain activity, circuits, coding, and human-computer interaction through hands-on experiences with EEG-based tools.

The research explores how experiences like NeuroVivid can support STEM interest, identity, engagement, and belonging while creating more accessible and meaningful pathways into emerging STEM fields for neurodivergent learners.

How do you think AI could shape STEM and computer science classrooms in the future?

TERC is partnering with researchers at Kennesaw State University on a study to explore this question and we're looking for research participants to help imagine what's possible.

What you'll do
- Read a brief opening scene about a class using AI
- Complete a 20-30 minute writing activity that completes the story from a teacher's or student's perspective
- No writing experience required

Who can participate?
- High school STEM or CS teachers or students (18+)
- Using AI for learning in or outside the classroom
