For the first time, the human genome has been fully mapped. Researchers unveiled their work for the first time at the Telomere to Telomere consortium. While most of the human genome has previously been mapped, these discoveries "fill in the gaps" of what we know.

Six papers will be published in the journal "Science" and other journals outlining this work.

Contents | Science 376, 6588 COVER The Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) Consortium has completed a challenging 8% of the human genome left unresolved by the initial Human Genome Project. In this data visualization, each chromosome begins at bottom right and wraps around, with chromosomes X and 1 through 22 arranged from the outside i...

Protein Quantification Protocols – Conduct Science 03/17/2022

We're still on the protein bandwagon. We've learnt what proteins are, what happens when proteins go wrong, and you can learn how to quantify proteins in a sample in the article below.

Protein Quantification Protocols – Conduct Science The estimation of proteins via the quantitative method is one of the basic requirements in biochemistry. Proteins, from various perspectives, are substantially more complex than nucleic acids. Thus, it has been hard to give laboratory protocols that can be applied to proteins. The precise quantitati...

Structure and Functions of Proteins – Conduct Science 03/17/2022

Following our podcast release this morning, see our article here for a brief overview about the structure and function of proteins.

Structure and Functions of Proteins – Conduct Science Have you ever thought about why athletes or gymnasts are often on a protein-rich diet? It’s because these people expend more energy compared to people who don’t work out. And a diet rich in proteins fuels the body to build muscle, promote quick recovery, boost immunity, replenish glycogen, and b...
