Celebrating ISB’s first CIMA candidates ✨
Last year, ISB became the first CIMA (Certificat International de Maîtrise en Arabe) examination center in the United States. This spring, we were proud to host our very first examination session through ISB Extension.
Among the inaugural candidates were three members of our faculty and staff: Naïma Benali, Damien Miquel, and Maia Nicolas.
Thank you to Slimane Hasoui for organizing this meaningful milestone, and congratulations to our pioneers for helping launch this exciting new chapter at ISB. 💙

ISB had four students qualify to travel to Paris to participate in the FFJM (Fédération Française des Jeux Mathématiques) national final, a major event dedicated to enthusiasts of logic and mathematics.
Each year, this final brings together around 650 finalists from across mainland France and overseas territories to compete in mathematical games that are both challenging and enjoyable, celebrating the pleasure of reasoning and problem-solving.
Representing ISB in Paris was a unique experience for our students, combining academic challenge, cultural discovery, and participation in a large-scale national event.
They all return even more motivated to continue progressing in mathematics and to come back even stronger next year 💙
Thank you to Christine Brandebourger Bodet for organizing this trip.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓
Tonight, we had the honor of bringing together families, teachers, and students for the official Grade 12 Graduation ceremony. It was a meaningful and emotional evening celebrating the unique journey of each of our graduates, including many who had been with us since Maternelle!
This special moment honored our graduates’ commitment and perseverance and ISB’s values of Excellence, Character, and Community that they have embodied during their time at ISB. ✨
We are proud to have supported them in their growth and achievements. On behalf of the entire ISB community, we wish them all the very best as they begin their next academic and personal chapters, and we look forward to staying connected with them as alumni!

Celebration time at ISB 🎓✨
Last Friday, our Kindergarten students celebrated the culmination of Maternelle, a special milestone as they prepare to enter Lower School. We are so proud of all they’ve achieved this year and on their bilingual journey thus far! 👏
Today, our Grade 5 students took the stage to present a memorable show to their families, showcasing their learning, creativity, and hard work during the year as part of our Theater Residency Program with the Central Square Theater, supported by a generous grant from the James M. & Cathleen D. Stone Foundation, former ISB parents. It was a wonderful way to mark their transition to the Middle School School 🎭
Finally, our Grade 8 students also celebrated their own end-of-year ceremony, with important reflections on their journey at ISB as they prepare to enter Upper School.
Well done to all our students for their hard work, commitment, and everything they’ve accomplished this year! No matter what grade is next, ISB’s rigorous academic program has prepapred them for the future 🌟

The end of the school year is just around the corner… and that means showtime! 🎭
This morning, our Maternelle students, from TPS to Kindergarten, took the stage to present their end-of-year show, which they’ve been preparing with so much excitement alongside their teachers.
This afternoon, it was time for the Lower School Festival: poetry presentations, geography projects, pictograph storytelling, biography projects, theater pieces, choir performances, inventor projects… and so much more!
A wonderful atmosphere filled the school, with students proud to share their work and parents there to support and celebrate them. 💙
A huge thank you to our teachers for their incredible work in preparing the students and making these moments so special! 👏
Looking ahead to next week — the final week of school — with plenty of special moments, celebrations, and end-of-year graduations! 🎓

Yesterday, ISB hosted the blood drive ✨
As part of the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) component of the IB Diploma Programme (DP), Grade 12 student Naya A. took the lead on this initiative in partnership with The Boston Children’s Hospital, which brought the Bloodmobile to campus. In preparation, she worked closely with the hospital team, coordinated logistics, and helped plan the day’s schedule.
Yesterday, she supported donor appointments, welcomed and guided participants, and helped ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. She also organized refreshments for donors and visitors throughout the event.
More than 25 people took part in the blood drive, helping save up to three lives per donation.
A huge well done to Naya for her commitment and leadership, and a sincere thank you to all donors for their generosity and contributions. 💙

Last Friday, Grade 6 students led their Student-Led Conferences, presenting selected work from their portfolios and sharing their learning, progress, and goals for the year with their parents. A meaningful moment of reflection and exchange on their journey. ✨
In parallel, the Social Studies classes transformed the Media Center into a museum dedicated to ancient civilizations and their contributions to the modern world. Families had the opportunity to explore the students’ exhibits and appreciate all the hard work accomplished throughout the year.
A wonderful morning of sharing for our Grade 6 students. 🏛️

Last week, our Grade 6 students took part in a Climate Fresk. 🌍
During this collaborative workshop, they worked together to understand the cause-and-effect links behind climate issues. Through discussion and teamwork, they connected different elements such as human activities, their environmental impact, and the global consequences.
A meaningful experience to raise awareness and engage our students from middle school onward. 💚
