Calling for parents with babies (0-4 months old)!

We are currently recruiting participants for **Musical Babies**, a 10-week study that explores how singing to a baby may improve the baby’s and parent’s mood and overall mental health during the first year of life.

The study will be done *completely on your smartphone* and thus you won’t need to come to our lab. The study will begin with a live Zoom meeting. Then you will use a smartphone app to learn songs and keep track of your baby’s sleep and mood.

You are eligible to participate if your baby is 4 months old or younger. If you'd like, you can also sign up before your baby is born!

Check out a recent study by Eun, one of our postdocs at the Music Lab.
As a collaborative work with Dr. Beatriz Ilari, the Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, this study on the impact of music education shows that for adolescents, the benefits appear to extend beyond a surge in neural connections in their brains.
