Olympic Heights High School Debate

For the first time in years, the OH team traveled to Cambridge for Harvards International Speech and Debate Tournament. We couldn't be more proud to have come to Harvard with 17 entries in OO, PF, Congress, and LD. We had one break in the PF varsity pool by our novices Emma K and Jordan B! And Aiden I won a TOC bid. It was exciting weekend and we look forward to growing our presence on the national circuit!

It was an awesome day for OH competing in FFL state qualifiers today. We ended with 2 qualifiers in Public Forum, and one in Original Oritory, Congress, and Lincoln Douglas! Congratulations to Kayleigh, Lily, Zora, Hila, Izzy L, Ryan, & Ashton! We are so proud of the continued progress of our team this season.

Congratulations to everyone who competed today ! OH had a great outcome with 6 placements in congress, 2 wins in speech and a placement in PF!

OH debate had an awesome time competing in Sunvitational @ NSU this past weekend. We are so happy that we were able to bring our novice debaters into the national circuit and have a great weekend. Overall, we had excellent turnout with 16 entries, half of those being from our novices in a range of events. A huge congratulations to Hila M and Camilo H for breaking to the semi-finals for student congress and acquiring their TOC bids! The entire team could not be more proud of them for showing off the best of our team at the national level!
