My Tai Chi teacher Huan offers these breathing exercises. They are simple, it only takes 3 minutes.
He does not explain the body movements but you understand them easily by watching him. I love the exercises and I think they are very helpful. Perhaps your body and your mind will like them, too.

How to fill the void ...
Sometimes I get insecure and wonder if people really like me. Why? When I dig deep, the answer often is: It feels as if I needed more approval and love than I can get. A weird vicious circle that a lot of people know, I guess. ⠀
But I discovered something interesting: For me the void that causes this feeling only truly fills up, when I focus on feeling the love I got for others. If I love, I can fill this void in a heartbeat.⠀

💜 The balance.
For a very long time I thought that I am obliged to give more than I may receive. I finally understood deep down that I deserve to receive whatever it is that I need and want - just like you and everyone else on this tiny wonderful blue planet. 🌎 The magic hides in the balance.⠀

It's always important to focus on the things you really want to do. A Yoga practice certainly helps. 💜
Funny story: When I became aware that there are models for every part of the body, I thought I should become a leg model, haha! My legs are pretty long, so I figured this would be easy money. Well, the enthusiasm lasted a couple of weeks and a great photo shoot with Oliver Guse 😃 After that it already bored me to death to think about my body parts and my looks all the time. The media tells us how we have to look and how to be beautiful and what to buy to get there, it's all so distressing, sometimes it is hard to remember how irrelevant it is. ⠀
Well, I rather wanted to spend my time on other things than looks - like practicing and teaching Yoga and making music.⠀

Remembering my second Vipassana meditation retreat …
to India - the last afternoon of my second 10-day-Vipassana meditation retreat. Nine of these days are spent in silence. When people hear that, many say: "I could not not talk for nine days!" Well, of course they totally could. I actually really enjoy that part. But there definitely is a tough part to these retreats for me: Imagine how your butt hurts when you sit 8-10 hours every day for 10 days! 😅⠀
But forget about that. The experience is one of a kind: deep and meaningful and really special. I can only recommend trying it (or doing it again). Let me know if you have done that or done something similar! Would love to know about your experiences.⠀
