Attention Morse Community! Here are three ways that YOU can get involved in creating the school's new mosaic mural?

1. Come to a Family/Caregiver Drop In Time.
Help glue and arrange the mosaic tile pieces and leave your mark on our mural. Drop in Times: Thursday 10/30/25, 7:45-8:30am and 2:45-3:30pm.

2. Volunteer During an Art Class.
Assist students with the mural making process, during the weeklong art residency with The Beautiful Stuff Project. You do not have to volunteer during your own student’s class time! Email Ms. Kerr if you are interested. You will need to fill out a CORI form before being able to volunteer.

3. Donate a Lucky Coin.
Donate a coin from your home country or special vacation. Or, choose a lucky penny for your family! These coins will be permanently cemented as part of the mosaic mural. Please, just one coin per family. Your Morse student can drop off this special coin to Ms. Kerr in the Art Studio at any time.

Email Ms. Kerr with questions: [email protected]

This week is Read Across America week. We have lots of fun things planned for our students: a book swap, daily trivia, book recommendation cards, scented bookmarks, and on Wednesday - cozy clothes day so we can be extra comfortable while we Drop Everything And Read!

This year the RAA theme is "Create and Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers". To that, the Morse says YES PLEASE!! Here at Morse we strive to create a nation of diverse readers and we LOVE celebrating our community of readers. We asked students and staff members to say "I love reading" in their home language. Check out the nearly 30 languages represented in the attached video!

Happy reading everyone!

Check out our very own Mr. F!

The Bright Spot! Congratulations to Phil Fousek, our CRLS Boys Soccer Coach for the 2023-2024 season, on being named the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Soccer Coach of the Year!

Mr. Fousek is a full time teacher at Morse Elementary, and prior to this year served over 20 years coaching in the Boys Soccer Program, including 14 years as the CRLS Boys Varsity Coach. He has worked tirelessly to improve and guide the soccer program in the best interest of the student athletes. The 2023-2024 season was his last year of coaching at CPS. His hard work has grown the Boys Soccer program considerably. We’re thankful for his hard work and are so proud of his achievement!
