Lena is an 8th-grade member who has already made an incredible impact early in her FFA journey. She recently took 1st place in the Creed Speaking contest at both Districts and Sectionals, showing outstanding dedication, confidence, and preparation.

She puts in the work behind the scenes and has truly dove into everything FFA has to offer. Lena’s drive and willingness to learn set a strong example for members at every level.

Congratulations to our Section 5 State Degree recipients! 🌟

To earn this prestigious award, members completed 360 hours of agricultural education, 25 hours of community service across multiple activities, and earned their Chapter Degree.

This achievement reflects their dedication to premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

Huge shoutout to every competitor who stepped outside their comfort zone and gave it their all. We are incredibly proud of the effort, courage, and leadership shown by everyone who competed. Congratulations to our winners advancing to the state competition! Go make Section 5 proud! 💙💛

WHAT A WEEK! 💙💛

Now that National FFA Week has come to a close, it’s time to look back on an unforgettable few days. From the FFA Alumni Convention to the FIRE Conference and everything in between, I had the chance to connect with incredible FFA members and agricultural advocates.

This week was truly impactful, and I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything.

I am so excited to share some of my favorite memories in the blue jacket 💙✨
These moments aren’t just highlights of my FFA career, they’re some of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

From placing in State Employability Skills and Star in Agricultural Placement, to Washington Leadership Conference, the 2023 National FFA Convention, being elected as a State FFA Officer, State Officer Summit in D.C., and even a photo that represents generations of FFA in my family, every memory tells a story.

These were the moments that pushed me outside my comfort zone, introduced me to lifelong friends, and gave me the opportunity to advocate for agriculture. Looking back, I’m amazed at how much FFA has shaped who I am today and the difference it’s made in my life.

I am forever grateful for the blue jacket and everything it represents. Thank you, FFA 💙🌾

Today we get to celebrate the people who truly make it all happen, our advisors 💙🌾

Mrs. Engel is always striving for success and helping grow our middle school FFA program. I appreciate her realism, humor, and incredible ability to figure things out. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and for DeForest FFA!

Mr. Engel is the most organized person I’ve ever met. His ability to make information clear and accessible keeps our program strong and successful. I’ll never forget the countless laughs, the lessons, and the carefree attitude I hope to have someday. Thank you for all of it!

Mrs. Boettcher has taught me more than I’ll ever know. Her knowledge of agriculture and FFA is something I admire so much and hope to have in the future. Thank you for always having my back and seeing potential in me, even when I didn’t see it myself.

Mrs. Meffert is my rock. When times are tough, she’s always there for me, and when it’s time to celebrate, she’s my biggest cheerleader. Her ability to teach through her personality is something I’m so grateful for. Thank you for teaching with your heart.
