Cambridge Analytica ai-kitchen Spring 2017 Series: Algorithmic Design and what it means for society

How are the algorithms that shape our decisions and opportunities ‘designed’? Do these decisions have an exaggerated effect on our lives? On society? For ai-kitchen’s Spring 2017 Series, our team will reverse-engineer popular algorithms from companies like Youtube, Uber, Spotify, Zillow, and more. Our accessible case studies will kick off our discussions about why their algorithm is designed the way it is, how its design might affect different types of people, and how we might improve the design.
