For over 30 years the school has provided students with classical ballet training and helped to develop student appreciation for dance as an art form. What does outdoors mean? Well, it means we will be holding classes on grassy fields, basketball courts, roller hockey courts, and sidewalks. We are thinking that most of the classes held outdoors will take place at the Kennedy Longfellow School campus at 158 Spring Street, Cambridge, 02141 as it has all of the above mentioned, plus more, like railings that can be used as ballet barres. We held our summer dance intensives at Kennedy Longfellow, and the space was very conducive to learning.

Please note, if you register for outdoor or in-person classes, you will be required to sign a Covid Liability Waiver Form and attend a Zoom meeting the day before class begins so we can go over plans and procedures. We will also be sending out a detailed list of procedures to all in-person registered students with more information on how each class will be run.

We plan to start the semester with the above schedule, but if we need to make adjustments at any time due to health and safety reasons, we will do so.

As we all know, this is going to be a Fall Semester unlike any other, and somewhat experimental, but we look forward to it! Please let us know if you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns.

Thank you,
Kirsta, SOCB Staff, and Faculty
